Child Care Center

Child Care Center

The Northeast Mississippi Community College Childcare Center is located on the first floor of Waller Hall. The purpose of the Child Care Center is to provide a learning-readiness environment for young children, to demonstrate principles of guidance, and to provide NEMCC students with opportunities for observing, interacting with, and teaching young children.

Enrollment is open to three- and four-year-old children of NEMCC students, faculty, and staff. Children must be potty-trained and able to feed themselves. A completed application form and Immunization Compliance Form 121 must be on file before school begins. Upon notification of acceptance, a fifteen ($15) dollar registration fee must be paid for each child.

The Child Care Center operates from 7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, in conjunction with traditional day classes for the NEMCC Fall and Spring semesters. The first week of each semester is a Teacher/Student Teacher work week. The NEMCC Child Care Center will be closed during this time. Child Care students will begin one week after regular classes start. The Center reserves the right to close for one day per semester to allow for staff and student development.
