This program is designed to train qualified students to perform diagnostic radiographs (x-rays) in hospitals or other clinical settings. The student will learn the principles of radiography through a series of classes and labs. These principles will then be applied as the student performs routine and trauma radiography in clinical rotations under the supervision of registered technologists and physicians. A student must maintain a minimum of “C” in each of the academic core and Radiography courses to meet graduation requirements. Graduates are eligible to take the national exam offered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and receive their credentials as registered Radiologic Technologists (RT). This program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), 20 North Wacker Drive, Suite 2850; Chicago, IL 60606-3182; www.jrcert.org, firstname.lastname@example.org. JRCERT is the only organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE) to evaluate and accredit education programs in Radiography.
