BIO 1134 - General Biology I

4 Semester Hours
(Prerequisite: ACT math subscore 19 or above or concurrent enrollment in MAT 1313 or credit in college level biology course with a “C” or above) A combined lecture and laboratory course for science majors that included study of the scientific method, chemistry relevant to biological systems, cell structure and function, cell processes including photosynthesis and cellular respiration, cell division, genetics, and molecular genetics. Labs associated with this course contain experiments and exercises that reinforce the principles introduced in lecture classes Three hours lecture and two hours laboratory.
